Collaborative research with Hosei university and Tokyo city university

We conducted a series of research meetings and seminars in Japan with prof. Shukuya, prof. Kayo, and the Tokyo city university research group. The visit included intensive sessions at Hosei university and Tokyo city university to advance collaborative research on heat pump thermodynamic modeling and ground source heat pump exergy analysis.
The technical focus was the refinement of an air source heat pump boiler model, specifically incorporating superheating at the compressor inlet and subcooling at the condenser outlet to reflect realistic operational strategies and equipment protection. We also discussed integrating solar thermal collectors (stc) through two configurations: mains water preheating with variable tank level control and tank water circulation.
This visit provided a valuable opportunity to experience the complete logic of heat pump algorithms firsthand. The insights gained will serve as a vital foundation for enhancing our lab's future research directions
