We invited Professor Shukuya to Chonnam National University for a week to collaborate with us.
During his visit, we held intensive discussions on the exergy balance equation of the refrigerant cycle at each state point. We also discussed the exergy balance of a photovoltaic panel system, considering the efficiency of subsystems like the controller, DC/AC converter, and battery.
Additionally, Professor Shukuya gave a seminar for graduate students on the topic, ‘How the exergy concept can be applied in the built environment’. The seminar provided valuable insights, helping to shift our perspective from purely energy-centric thinking to a more comprehensive approach considering both energy and exergy.
